We offer everything from the most basic functional chap, to a highly creative design. In addition to our full custom chaps, we also offer custom half chaps and gators.

When you order a pair of Gold Rush Chaps, measurements are taken by Di Marietta, a chap maker and professional tailor of 25 years – trained in garment construction at the haute couture level. Fifteen precise measurements are used to make a personalized hand-drawn pattern for full chaps. Using this pattern, a ‘fitting’ is done to ensure the most accurate possible fit. Ten precise measurements are taken and used to make a personalized hand-drawn pattern for custom half chaps and gators. All chaps are handcrafted by Di with precision and attention to detail, and meticulously sewn. To help you create your personalized chaps, design assistance is offered, and actual chap samples, as well as photos, show the various options available. And to keep your chaps looking new, each product comes with the Gold Rush Chaps chap bag.

Custom half chaps and gators are designed to and feel like a boot, with tops fashioned in the popular Spanish cut. They are made with two layers of leather, and can be ordered with a stretch leather panel. Both products are available with a traditional leg strip that can be embellished like full chaps, or with the new style leg placket with a larger ‘design area’ for personalizing your half chaps or gators.
